Most magnetos are rotary magnet type, which can be divided into single type and flywheel type according to the overall design. The single type is to make the above components into a whole and install them on the internal combustion engine; Flywheel type is to install magnets on the flywheel of internal combustion engine, and other components are installed on the internal combustion engine, mostly for single cylinder engine. Magneto breakers are mostly mechanical contact type, or transistor type. Some magnetos are also equipped with additional components.
① Starting accelerator: It is installed on a single magneto. When starting, the angular velocity of the magneto near the top dead center of the crankshaft is increased to increase the voltage and ensure ignition.
② Centrifugal ignition advance angle adjusting device: installed on the single magneto, it can increase the ignition advance angle with the increase of speed.
③ Some magnetos are attached with separate coils for lighting power supply.
